Al-Arabiya's Guide to Who's Left, Who's Dead, and Who's Fled in the Asad Regime

When it comes to the Syrian conflict, Al-Arabiya is not a neutral observer but a hostile witness. Keeping that in mind, their online English guide to the Asad regime is a useful summary of who's who, who was who, and who's in exile among the inner circles: "The Lion's Den."  The name "Asad," of course, means "lion." (And is not the family's original name, but that's another post.)

I'll also confess to feeling the "deck of playing cards of regime figures" motif was done to death (in many cases literally) by the US in Iraq, but that's the format they've chosen. Useful nonetheless.
